Portugal: the gateway to the Atlantic.

The flat southern plains and the northern mountains are rarely seen behind the glorious coastline. This makes Portugal an ideal destination for a tourist and sports trip with Regularity Rallies and special visits.

The four-day journey is going to be packed with sunshine and magnificent roads, visit the best examples of the country's history, culture and cuisine, including Serra da Arrábida, which was the background for a 007 film, the walls and monuments of Évora and wines from the Douro valley, a World Heritage site.

Starting from Cascais, we pass through Alentejo, then head north to Serra da Estrela, the Douro and Aveiro before turning south once again and return through Coimbra and Óbidos until ending once again in Cascais.

Monday, 19 June


Reception at the Hotel Vila Galé Cascais. Check-in at the hotel. Technical checks at Cascais Marina. You are free to decide on dinner. Night at the Hotel.

Tuesday, 20 June

Cascais - Setúbal - Évora

11:00 - Leave Cascais Marina and head towards Setúbal (85 km). Lunch in Setúbal by the beach.
14:00 - Head towards Évora (160 km). Regularity rally between Alcácer do Sal and Évora. Arrive at the Hotel Convento do Espinheiro.
Dinner in the hotel - presentation of Alentejo wines. Night at the Hotel Convento do Espinheiro.

Wednesday, 21 June

Évora - Castelo de Vide - Sortelha - Serra da Estrela

9:30 - Leave the hotel and head towards Castelo de Vide (125 km) passing through Vila Viçosa and Estremoz.
Regularity rally on the Portalegre hill-climb. Lunch at the castle in Castelo de Vide.
14:00 - Leave towards Serra da Estrela (190 km) with a stop to visit Sortelha.
Regularity rally on the Serra da Estrela hill climb before arriving at the hotel.
Dinner and presentation of local cheeses.

Thursday, 22 June

Serra da Estrela - Gouveia - Pinhão - Ribadouro

9:30 - Leave the hotel for Pinhão (160 km).
Regularity rally in Serra da Estrela. Visit the miniature car museum in Gouveia.
Lunch and Port tasting at a Quinta beside the River Douro.
14:00 - Leave towards Ribadouro (110 km). Regularity rally along the River Douro.
Night in the Douro Valley with a riverside swimming pool.
Dinner and Port tasting.

Friday, 23 June

Ribadouro - Costa Nova - Figueira da Foz - Nazaré - Óbidos

8:30 - Leave the hotel and head towards Montemor-o-Velho (210 km) passing through Costa Nova.
Two regularity rallies near Arouca.
Lunch at the Convento de Sandelgas with tastings of convent sweets. 
14:00 Leave for Óbidos (150 km).
Medieval dinner in Óbidos. 
21:00 Leave for Cascais (110 km) along the motorway. Night at the Hotel Vila Galé Cascais

20 June - 11:00 | Cascais - Setúbal | 85 km
Leave Cascais Marina along the Marginal towards Serra da Arrábida, near Setúbal. Stop for lunch.


20 June - 14h00 | Setúbal - Évora | 160 km
Head towards Évora, stopping beside the Temple of Diana and a visit to the Historical Town Centre. Night at the Hotel Convento do Espinheiro.


21 June - 9h30 | Évora - Castelo de Vide | 125 km
Leave for Castelo de Vide, visit the Ducal Palace and have a stop at Estremoz.


21 June - 14h | Castelo de Vide - Serra da Estrela | 190 km
Pass through Alpedrinha, visit the Historical Village of Sortelha before arriving at the Pousada da Serra da Estrela.


22 June - 9h30 | Serra da Estrela - Pinhão | 160 km
Visit the Gouveia miniature car museum and stop at Tabuaço on the way down the Douro Valley.


22 June - 14h | Pinhão - Ribadouro | 110 km
Drive through the magnificent Douro Valley countryside. Pass through Peso da Régua and Mesão Frio, before arriving in Ribadouro. The hotel is on the hillside close to the river.


23 June - 8h30 | Ribadouro - Montemor-o-Velho | 210 km
Head along the banks of the River Douro to Castelo de Paiva. Turn towards Arouca and Sever do Vouga, then head for Costa Nova and Mira.


23 June - 14h | Montemor-o-Velho - Óbidos | 150 km
After lunch, head for Nazaré, São Martinho do Porto and arrive at Óbidos for a medieval dinner.


23     June - 21h | Óbidos - Cascais | 110 km
Take the motorway to Cascais and the Hotel Vila Galé.

Convento do Espinheiro | Évora

Pousada da Serra da Estrela
The Pousada da Serra da Estrela is right inside the Natural Park in Covilhã.
